Milan Fashion Week started with a bang today. And when I say bang, I mean none other than Gucci. Unfortunately, I am not there seeing the show live (Instead I am getting ready to head into the office - glamorous, I know!) however, thanks to VogueRunway.com you can see the shows almost as soon as they happen.
Some thoughts that came to mind when viewing the photos from today's show were; "Big Bird", "Purple People Eater", and "Wow!" - all in a good way! Some of the pieces caught me by surprise with the amount of color, but then again it is Gucci and this is Italy we are talking about. I wouldn't expect an all black runway show. There are many full on monochromatic looks throughout the show, then there are the mixing of clashing prints, and of course the iconic Gucci stripe makes an appearance.
