Summer Feels

Hi guys! Sorry I have been a little quite on the site lately. I have had family visiting a lot this month and have been thoroughly enjoying our time. Nonetheless, we did find some time to shoot this look last night.

What do you guys think? Are you totally over the white sneaker trend? Or the sneakers trend in general? I for one...am not over it quite yet. There is something about a fresh white pair of kicks that just makes me feel good. I especially love the unexpected pairing of sneakers with a pleated feminine skirt or girly dress. Denim x Denim

I recently go to speaking about the Canadian tuxedo to someone at work and it got me thinking of fun ways to pair denim together. I think there are a few important aspects to focus on to make your double denim outfit a hit.

Distressed Denim Favorites

Since distressed denim seems to be one of the main things covering my bottom half outside of work hours I thought I would do a Thursday round up of my favorites right now. I have the first pair shown above and as you may already know, I am obsessed! The others are on my list as next up or must-haves! The Blank NYC ones are amazing, I have actually tried them on but didn't buy because I am super short and the holes didn't hit me in the right spots. But for all of you average height women out there - these are killer. Also the one teaspoon's, obsessed! There is nothing I love more than a torn up comfy pair of jeans and these are it!

Groundbreaking

Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking. 

Where are all my fashion movie buffs at?! I mean, I know a floral dress for spring is nothing new but hey, sometimes things are the way they are for a reason. 

Black + Blush

Lately I have been a little obsessed with pairing nudes or blush shades with black ensembles. This jacket from TFNC London is great because it isn’t too pink but offers just enough of the blush tone to give you a bit of a feminine edge with a black outfit. 

Weekend Ready!

One of my favorite things to do is layer different textures like leather, chunky knits, and denim. Something about the way the different layers play off of each other gets me every time.

I saw a photo of this little castle tower somewhere on Instagram a few months back, and ever since I had been dying to go. It just looked so magical and special, I had to find it. Turns out, it was only a little over an hour away from me here in San Diego. The castle tower, often referred to as “La Tour” or the Pirate Wower, is located at Victoria Beach in Laguna Beach, CA.
