Summer is officially here! I often refer to white as the color of the summer. I know a lot of people prefer to wear pops of actual color like corals or turquoise during the summer, but you just can't go wrong with white. Dainty Jewelry Obsession

Personal style to me is something that is always evolving. If something isn’t evolving, growing, and changing then it is stagnant – right? No one wants stagnant style. I’ve mentioned before that I used to LOVE silver jewelry and couldn’t imagine ever wearing gold jewelry on a regular basis. Not too long after that…I started wearing gold jewelry. Not only was my jewelry gold but I liked to make a statement. The chunkier the better! If something was dainty or small and delicate I just couldn’t! It felt so…basic. Flash forward a few years to 2016 and surprise, surprise - I can’t get enough of dainty delicate pieces.

 What a way to end the week! Last night was so special and was spent on the beach at San Diego's most iconic hotel, Hotel Del Coronado. Hosted by Love Tatum x Hotel Del we were spoiled with gourmet s'mores on the beach, fresh coconut, sparklers, great company, and so much more. The night ended with some yummy bites (those brussel sprouts though!) from ENO Pizzeria & Wine Bar which is located right outside of the Hotel Del.

We are halfway through the week and jumping right into Summer! I love wearing white in the summer! Even if I don’t have a tan I feel like it somehow makes me feel a bit tanner just because. Summer Essentials

Summer is officially here. Well, I think Monday the 20th is the official day, but you know what I mean. It is hotter than ever outside and all I want to do is wear my cutoffs, off the shoulder top, and cute lace up sandals! I gathered up some of my ultimate summer essentials below. From hats, shoes, bag, swimsuits - these are my favorite. Give me a straw hat, some rose water mist, that black suit and I'm good to go.

Ready for Summer

The first official of Summer is right around the corner, can you believe it? It is really starting to feel like it lately too! The sun has been out and the weather has been beautiful these past few days. Warm weather for me means it is time to bring out the easy dresses and lightweight pieces that make the days that much more comfortable. I love the details on the back of this dress, it adds a cute element without being overwhelming on the stylistic details - sometimes simple is best! 

Black, White, Silver, Repeat

Black, white, silver, repeat. I am normally more of a gold girl but sometimes I find myself craving the clean lines and crisp look of silver jewelry. Especially when paired with black or white, and especially when your silver cuff features a knockout crystal like this one.

After a long weekend of moving to a new house my skin needed a little TLC. After a little pampering on Sunday night I woke up fresh and ready to take on the week (if you consider super groggy, confused, and tired ready - the joys of moving!). Of course since I am still living out of boxes it was the perfect opportunity to put to use my new products from Ashley Sievert beauty. 

I received the Mineral Velvet Cream & Mineral Finishing Velvet Powder (both in shade ‘New York’ which is a medium yellow tone) along with the Glow under Eye Brightener and a couple of super soft brushes. First of all, I had already tried samples of these and have been pretty much hooked to the under eye brightener, not only is it perfect at covering up those dark circles (totally needed that today), but it also is a great on the go to cover up blemishes. We've seen it for the past few seasons now and as far as I can see the trend isn't going anywhere anytime soon. One of my favorite ways to escalate a simple outfit is by adding a choker. I know, it's so 90's, right? Truth be told, it can be, but it doesn't have to be. Try pairing your choker with a simple look like a chic blazer in a solid color, or a plain white t-shirt. I have been partial to the thick black chokers but lately have been drawn towards more delicate gold styles. I like the simplicity of the thin black or gold choker especially for summer.
