// FASHIONABLE HALLOWEEN COSTUME IDEAS //

It's that time of year again- Halloween! For all of you fashion loving individuals out there you might be thinking to yourself "what can I be this year and still feel stylish?" Well, I too have been thinking that, and have decided to compile a list of some fun fashion-related and stylish halloween costume ideas.

//BLACK SWAN//
This is one I have been wanting to do for the past few years. Better yet if you have a BFF who can be the white swan. You will feel uber stylish if you pull this off right. What you'll need:

A black tutu

A black strapless bodysuit

Feathers to glue to your bodysuit/bodice

A crown (spray paint if it is not already black)

Body paint for your hands

Face Paint to make the white face with dramatic eyes
Dark Red lipstick
Black ribbon for your ankles

// LACE BUNNY EARS//
Well, we all have seen this one time and again, but hey- it's still really cute. This is for when you don't really feel like dressing up but you still want to be somewhat festive and not a total drag. Grab a pair of these cute bunny ears, pair it with an all black ensemble, a red lip, a cat-eye, and you have yourself a fashionable & easy halloween costume. Or, go all-out and be the Lady Gaga version with a purple wig!

// CHOUPETTE & KARL //
This is for those of you who have a male (or female) counterpart who is willing to dress the part of Karl Lagerfeld. You, a white fluffy kitty cat. Your partner the ever fashionable Karl. I think to really pull this one off you have to be attending a party where people will actually know who you are. And if you don't well, who cares, but I always think it is more fun when people get it. What you'll need:

For Choupette:
Cat ears & Tail
Face paint/ makeup to draw on whiskers
A light pink lipstick
Winged eyeliner
For Karl:
Black suit
Gray wig in pony tail OR white colored hair spray if the person in this costume already has long hair
Black sunglasses
White collared shirt
Black biker gloves

//KHALEESI//
Calling all Game Of Thrones addicts! Khaleesi as I know her, or Daenerys Targaryen technically. If you do not already have long blonde hair you can have a little with a wig this year!  What you'll need:

A long blonde wig
A goddess type dress
Wrap up flat sandals
Light makeup
Braid the sides of your hair back & wave the rest
Some baby dragon props

//IRIS APFEL//
Fashion icon. Enough said. No, but really, I think this is again one of those costumes if you want people to get you will need to wear to an event where you might be around like-minded fashion lovers. However, getting dressed up and people guessing who/what you are is part of the fun so I say go for this one regardless of where you will be! Pop the lenses out of some old sunnies, or grab a pair of faux eyeglasses, pile on as much jewelry as possible, a red lip & red nails, and you are good to go!
//MARIE ANTOINETTE//
Let them eat cake! This costume is so playful & the best part is how easy it is! You'll need some baby pink colored hair spray, some powder white makeup, and some pastel colored clothes. Take cues from this wildfox campaign a few years back and play around with layering on pearls, necklaces, knee highs, etc.

Other great ideas include:
Mary Kate & Ashley Olson-Oversized clothes & Starbucks cups with names are a must
Anna Wintour- Short wig, ladylike threads
Twiggy- Be sure to draw your bottom lashes on with black eyeliner, add some disco ball earrings, and some mod clothes i.e. knee high boots, mini skirts, etc. Oh, and side swipe that hair like no other.
Audrey Hepburn- LBD, cigarette holder, pearls, a little tiara
Marilyn Monroe- Goldilock curls, little white dress, red lips
