Alexander McQueen Fall 2016

Flowers. Butterflies. Stars. Moons. Unicorns. A sort of ethereal show took place today in London's Lawrence Hall. Sarah Burton, the designer & creative director behind McQueen since 2010, stayed true to the labels way of effortlessly combining opposing elements. A tulle skirt with a leather jacket, dainty lace under structured suit jackets, & butterflies embroidered onto leather are just a few examples.

Black, White, & Metallic | SS15 LFW Coverage

Black and White has been trending for a few seasons now and it does not appear to be going anywhere anytime soon. This is good news for me as I tend to gravitate towards anything black and white as it is.

A new twist to the sometimes somber ensemble of black and white can be added in metallics, pops of color and/or print. Alexander McQueen shows us how it is done in the first few photos by including the liquid silver skirt and metal grommets. Meanwhile, Whistles uses pattern by way of perforated fabric to add a  new element of surprise. Let these looks carry you from Fall to Spring by incorporating more white or more black into your outfit depending on the month.

Those McQueen shoes though...must start saving now!

Fashion Week Street Style SS15

A few of my favorite street style shots from Fashion week so far as shot by Tommy Ton [Images from Style.com]. Just a quick glimpse at the street style spotted during Fashion Week is enough inspiration to keep me going through an entire season!

As many of us know elevated sportswear is still going strong on the runways and with street style fashionistas alike. Hence, the crisp white shoes in the first image and the Calvin Klein "Eternity" Sweatshirt.

We cannot forget to discuss the "Culottes" or "Gouchos" trend that has been popping up everywhere. This article of clothing deserves its very own post [we will get to that later], however they look chic pair with flat slides and an oversized boxy top as shown in the last image. I am personally excited to pair these with a flatform sandal as I am rather on the short side.

Look out for more of my favorite street style shots this coming month from London, Milan, and Paris.
